Our first Light It Up Blue in the Florida Everglades (2016).

This is the camp, Naked Lady, that hosted the first Light It Up Blue in the Everglades. We had an unexpected turnout and ended up having boats tying off to boats to fit everyone in (2016).

Our “floating” puzzle piece was originally one of the greatest challenges. The 44X34 puzzle “floats” on standing poles and is connected to a generator (2016).

Our second year we moved locations to the Miles Point KRVSA Pavilion and were able to host almost 200 people who all rode out to see us for a day of fun (2017).

Afternoon Ride

On one of the first rides Tad was able to bring a family friend out on the boat. This young man loves airboat rides and holds a “key” (metal puzzle cutout from the cage) to the boat so that he can go on a ride anytime (2016).

Light It Up Blue 2023

We are so excited to announce our 2023 TWO PART event! From 12 P.M. to 4 P.M. we will be at Coleman Landings at Shady Oaks Campground for BBQ, raffles & auctions, and airboating! THEN, we will head to Camp Mack, a Guy Harvey Lodge and Resort, to rock out to Southbound Band, light up the puzzle, and hang out from 6 P.M. to 10 P.M.!!! So excited to see you there and more details to follow!

Light It Up Blue 2020- Coleman Landings Campground

Light It Up Blue 2019- Coleman Landings Campground

This year our event will be held on April 13th, 2019 at Coleman Landings Campground. We will be ordering a set amount of shirts to sell at the event only and are currently looking for a shirt sponsor at this time. Hello all!

We would like to extend a thank you to all of our wonderful sponsors (links for their businesses are on the Get Involved tab at the top of your screen) and all of the people that came to support our event! We cannot believe the outpouring of support and sense of unity from across the state of Florida to raise awareness and funding for individuals with Autism! In the effort of full transparency, we would like to let you all know we may not be as responsive in the coming weeks because in the week after #LIUB4 a family member had a massive stroke. We went from full Airboaters for Autism Awareness mode to family mode. If there are any matters that you wish to bring to our attention please be patient, when we see things on Facebook or email we respond but sometimes it takes a few days. Thank you all again for your support and understanding! It was a record year!

Application Process Revised

Hey folks,

We have been patiently waiting and asking around for possible sources to fund for getting individuals with Autism into the outdoors. We think our issue may have been our application on the “Get Involved” page so we have recently revised it to make it more user friendly! We would also like to put it out there that we accept applications for any Autism focused organization or 501(c)3 that needs funding and will make exceptions to the outdoors requirement if there is a compelling response in the comment box explaining why you need the funding. Thank you all again for keeping updated!
